A diabolo consists of plastic, wooden, or metal spool and an axle. With the aid of a string, the diabolo is rotated. Quality diabolos retain their shapes. As soon as the diabolo isn’t perfectly round anymore, the juggling object starts wobbling, which spoils the fun.
The diabolo has its origins in China, where, according to records, it had already been widely spread in 1766 BC. The diabolo is thought to even date back to the stone age. Since the 80ies, it has become a real boom. The techniques have remarkably improved. Today, up to five diabolos are played at the same time.
